Christina has been a involved with horses since 1994. Starting out with giving pony rides at a local camp she has had experience being a trail guide, polo groom, worked in a racing barn, worked as a regular groom and finally became a trainer in 1997. Her passion is eventing. Her students have enjoyed success in and out of the show ring. A highlight of her career was having one student attend the National Eventing Championships in KY and bringing home 7th out of 50 and National High Score Pony!
She has been involved with NSHA for 10 years and held the position of Secretary before being elected President in 2019. She somehow balances her riding with her Realtor career, raising two children and her volunteer work

Marvin was the First Vice President of NSHA and has been a member of the Executive Board for well over 20 years. For several years in the past he was the Co-Chair of our annual Swap Night. Marvin has the rank of Sargent Major in the Rough Riders, where he engages in Civil War reenactments, as well as providing historical educational presentations to middle schools here on Long Island throughout the year. Marvin is a member of the Trails Advisory Committee for the Town of Huntington, representing the horse community and also serves as a Steward for one of Huntington’s town parks.
Professionally Marvin is a licensed Marriage and Family therapist with offices in Huntington and Forest Hills.

Laura Voyner
Barbara learned to ride as a child at Babylon Riding Academy where she rode English and then did mostly trail riding as a teenager. She got back into riding as an adult and joined the New York Natural Equestrians and learned a lot about horse behaviors and relationships. Barbara joined the Islip Horseman's Association Spirit of Long Island Mounted Drill Team in 2014. The Drill team rides in parades and performs at different events across Long Island to promote good horsemanship.
She has been a member of the NSHA since 2012.
Barbara is also a certified cold laser therapist and the owner of Aurora Cold Laser Therapy.

Frank is still a Director and actively involved with NSHA as well as the Rough Riders. He puts on displays at local schools so children can see and hear what life was like "once upon a time". He has his own film production company supplying horses for various film productions.
